Grunty and effortlessly lightweight, the Contra 3S has been a staple of the lightwind kiting community for years and 2022 is no different. Surprisingly nimble in the smaller sizes, the Contra makes for a fun session when everyone else is standing on shore stuck staring at the water.

In 2003 a kite was launched to help people maximize their time on the water. The name became synonymous with light wind riding, and has since become a staple in many kiters’ quivers. The Contra 3 Strut continues this legacy and provides the rider with the ultimate blend of light wind power and agility to maximize time on the water in threshold winds.

Its supported 3-strut frame allows to not only drive forward when using a more traditional selection of kiteboards, but it also provides a stable canopy and an increased high end range.

TECH

HIGH TENACITY DACRON

Cabrinha’s Dacron is specifically designed for inflated kite structures. The construction of this material is very warp orientated using ultra high tenacity yarns with an increased thread count to combat elongation in the warp direction under the high inflation pressures. Lower elongation make for a more accurate kite with less deformation while in flight.

NANO RIPSTOP CANOPY

A higher level of performance can only be achieved when the kite’s design properties are supported by a stable and reactive kite material. Nano Ripstop does just that.

PURE PROFILE PANELS

Strategically placed panels allow for a seamless and smooth airflow over the most important area of the flying surface, creating an efficient and true to design profile that no others can match.
